Gloucestershire Dance is dedicated to making the county a centre of dance creativity and energy. We focus on creative, contemporary dance, leadership and addressing barriers to participation.

We:

  • provide dance expertise, information and networking
  • provide a brokerage service for education establishments and community groups, helping you to find dance leaders, courses and events
  • offer training and support for youth dancers, dance leaders and choreographers
  • create projects for disabled and disadvantaged young people
  • co-ordinate festivals and events
  • co-promote and commission dance for theatres and other spaces
  • work with arts organisations, charities, agencies and statutory bodies to make dance accessible to all

Gd:ID

Aged 11 - 19 and interested in developing your own style of dance?  Gd:ID is a course running from 2 March to the end of May in Gloucester.  You'll get to work with professional teacher / choreograhers and explore a diverse range of styles from African to Eastern European, South Asian to Jamaican Ragga.  Click here to find out more / book.

Gd:Roots

Also for 11 - 19 year olds in the Forest of Dean, Gd:Roots is led by expert teachers and those who join before the 'intensive' dance days on 18 & 19 February will get to perfrom at our Gd:Youth Festival in the Forest Theatre on 4 March.  Click here for more info...
