Tide Lands for The Severn Project – www.severnproject.com

Tewkesbury Festival / Photo Neil SmithGD commissioned choreographer Marie-Louise Flexen, composers Steve Skinley and Rick Moreton and costume designer Corinne Hockley to work with 12 community performers. The cast, aged 13 to 50+, included ex-professionals, dance graduates and some top talent from GD’s and DSG’s youth companies.

The piece was performed, alongside a range of spectacular cross-arts shows and ‘happenings’, at two free summer festivals at Tewkesbury and Lydney in June 2009.

See the official website to find out more about this Cultural Olympiad branded project.

GD also worked with Gloucester School Sports Partnership and professional dance company ACE Dance & Music to ensure local schools enjoyed the opportunity to explore themes around this project.
