Katie Ballard - Gd:Urban Dance Leader 

This year Katie is supporting GD's young urban Fellows to develop their leadership and artistic direction skills, as well as running our Urban Basics course.

Katie performs and teaches in a range of styles at dance schools and agencies across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.  She underwent dance leadership training with Swindon Dance.

Frank McDaniels - Volunteer Dance Leader and Trainee Choreographer

Frank, a former student of the National Star College, has developed his skills through GDance, having joined the in-house company we ran (Velcro) as a performer in 2006.  Since then, he has performed and led workshops, as well as participated in talks and lecture-demonstrations at schools, theatres and national conferences all over the UK.  Frank has  a Btec (level 2) in Performing Arts, and has benefitted from a range of training and mentoring in choreography and leadership through GDance and other inclusion specialist partners (eg. Blue Eyed Soul).  In 2011, Frank secured a grant from Arts Council England to support production of his first full length dance piece.

Karen PerrinsDance Leader

Karen has worked for GDance since 2004, working with a wide range of adults and young people with disabilities and special needs.  Karen is passionate about inclusive practice, and has led a range of education and performance projects bringing together mainstream and special school groups of children.   Karen is also a fully trained Drama teacher, working in the primary sector.

Annet Richards-BinnsDance Leader

African / Caribbean dance specialist Annet has worked for GDance on and off for over a decade!  She balances her dance career with management of Gloucester's Cool Runnings creative after-school and holiday club for children in Barton and Tredworth.  Annet has developed her inclusive practice working on a range of GDance projects, eg. the Black Elders Day Centre, and - most recently - for Kingfisher Church's Treasure Seekers project for adults with mental health and learning difficulties.  Annet is currently undertaking her Level 6 Diploma in Dance Teacher Training and Learning with Swindon Dance.
