Dance South Gloucestershire started in 2006 as a partnership between South Gloucestershire Council and GD to help develop dance in South Gloucestershire. DSG is a partner in the Dance South West network.
DSG’s priorities are to:
- Increase and develop the dance 'offer' in South Gloucestershire
- Provide dance opportunities for those with little or no arts experience
- Promote the benefits of dance including active lifestyles and personal, social and creative development
- Address the emotional and physical well-being of people
- Address gaps in dance provision within South Gloucestershire

LEAD-IN - build your dance leadership skills
Lead In is a 2.5 day course delivered by DSG and Gloucestershire Dance. The aim of Lead In is to allow you to explore the basic skills and understanding needed to lead dance for school age children.
Aimed at: A Level College, Degree Level Performing Arts / Dance / Sports students or those looking to take their first steps into dance leadership
Dates: Friday 29th January 2009 - 5 - 8pm and Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st Januray 2010 - 9.30am - 4.30pm
Location: Oxstalls Campus, Gloucestershire University Cost: £75
