Lead In
Lead In is a 2.5 day course that can be adapted for different groups: from those with little leadership experience to those who may need a refresher.
The course is delivered in-house at local colleges, Universities or in community settings. Partner organisations can either buy the course package for their students / staff / members or assist in hosting, promotion to participants and administration.
Who is it for?
- those interested in teaching dance in schools and/or the community, eg. school teachers, teaching assistants, care or youth workers
- those with some teaching and/or sports/dance leadership experience
- A-level or higher / further education students of dance, performing arts or sports
What will I gain?
- a basic understanding of how to manage a career in community dance and dance-in-education
- ideas to use in workshops and classes
- more confidence in working inclusively
- an information pack
- contacts within and outside GD and DSG, and further information on how dance agencies can support you
