Awakenings - Short Breaks for Disabled Children & Young People

GD organises residential breaks for groups from special and mainstream schools.  Some projects bring together disabled and non-disabled young people, whereas others provide fun extended breaks for groups of special school students.

The last two projects in spring 2008 and summer 2009, have seen four groups from special schools travel to The Wilderness Centre in the Forest of Dean.  They enjoyed a programme of outdoor activities, dance and other arts - exploring, learning, dressing up and finding chances to dance inside and out!
