youth - inspiring creativity
Gd:Youth is a programme to develop youth dance networks, creativity and leadership skills. It consists of:
- three county youth companies for young people who show potential in contemporary or urban dance styles
- projects to address barriers to youth inclusion
- pilot / start-up dance projects to address gaps in county provision
- leadership courses and training opportunities
This programme is delivered in partnership with Dance South West and Youth Dance England and generously supported by Gloucestershire County Council.
We work closely with a range of partners including:
- youth, health and community organisations
- School Sports Partnerships and schools
- local dance businesses
- colleges and the University of Gloucestershire
- The South West Centre for Advanced Training at Swindon Dance
- Dance South West and the Youth Dance Strategy Manager for the South West
